Alcohol Abuse Signs

It is fairly easy to recognize an alcohol abuse signs. All you need to do is look for the warning signs such as, a person frequently ignoring his/her responsibilities at work or shirking duties at home; or if you find a person using alcohol in situations which are physically harmful such as drinking while driving or mixing alcohol with certain prescribed medicine against doctor’s advice or operating heavy machinery under influence of alcohol are all signs of alcohol abuse.

Also, if a person is repeatedly getting involved in legal matters such as getting arrested for driving while intoxicated or involved in a drunken brawl, then that too constitutes as alcohol abuse.

Continuing to drink even though it is creating problems in a relationship and behaving badly with one’s family members after you get drunk are also signs of alcohol abuse.

Many drinking problems occur when a person starts drinking to pacify himself/herself. Getting drunk to relieve the stress every time there is an argument with spouse or drinking to relax after every stressful situation in the office are also certain signs of alcohol abuse.

In children signs of alcohol abuse can be recognized by behavioral changes such as a calm person starts behaving aggressively, or when a bright student starts doing poorly in school, or remain absent from classes quite often.
